Fall To Do's

Fall is definitely in full swing by now, but there are still quite a few things on my to-do list...

1. Host a fall feast - a "Friendsgiving" if you will.
{Inspiring Tablescapes - mini pumpkins and gourds are a must!}
I'm not sure which main I'll choose, but it's between a pot roast and pork tender loin.

{Pork Tenderloin via Martha Stewart}
This could be a good appetizer, or perhaps just a movie-night dish.

These will definitely be on the menu for dessert:

{Ina's Salted Carmel Brownies}

2. Apple & Pumpkin Picking - Will be checking this off over Halloween weekend and can't wait!

3. Be better about blogging and redesign my site!

4. Plan a day trip upstate to take in the fall foliage.  Perhaps include a stop at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park or maybe take a sunset balloon ride above the Valley.

{The Vanderbilt Estate in Hyde Park, NY}
{Louise Vanderbilt's room was modeled after the Marie Antoinette chamber at Versailles}
{Blue Sky Balloons in Poughkeepsie, NY}

5. Read Washington Square by Henry James and see its Broadway adaptation, The Heiress, with the girls!  It stars Jessica Chastain of The Help and Dan Stevens of Downton Abbey.
