4 Things

Columbus Day marks the beginning of fall in my book and, usually, I honor its beginning by getting a group together and heading to an orchard and/or pumpkin patch.  This year the MLB playoffs interfered with those plans - no complaints! - but it left me itching to get outdoors and in the fall spirit.  Since I won't be able to get out of the city and onto a farm this weekend, I did the next best thing: I headed to the Union Square Farmer's Market.

1. Pumpkins

A carefully stacked group of pumpkins and gourds.

How cute are these little decorated pumpkins?  (This picture is my new desktop!)

2. Apples

I may not have found my favorite apple cider donuts, but I did have a cup of hot cider and some delicious local apples.

Next time I'm trying the pear!

What's your favorite variety?

3. Maple Candy

Pepper and pecan were delicious!

4. Mums

To fully appreciate my current obsession with mums, you have to see this townhouse that I am in love with:

Has there ever been such a pretty stoop?

Happy weekend!
