4 Things: Warhol & A Wedding, Coterie & Quinoa


Yesterday I managed to catch the newest exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years.  I doubt I could have enjoyed it more.  My only complaint?  No pictures allowed!  But really, if you are looking for something to do this weekend, GO GO GO!!!


What an attractive couple!  Who are they you ask?  My amazing parents.  Today is their 39th wedding anniversary and I couldn't be happier for them.  Love you mom and dad! #truelove #inspiration


I was thrilled to be invited to the Coterie today.  For those of you who don't know, Coterie is a trade show for the fashion industry - buyers come from around the globe to purchase goodies for their stores next season.  It's pretty fabulous!


My new favorite breakfast: QUINOA PARFAIT!  I know - quinoa for breakfast?!  Who would have thought?  Well think!  It is super healthy, gives you a ton of energy (quinoa is a superfood) and when you make it this way it tastes so delicious!  (It is also a great gluten free option.)  Below is my own recipe.

Ingredients: Quinoa, Walnuts (chopped), Cinnamon, Honey, Strawberries, Blueberries, Chobani! 
  • Combine 1/2 cup quinoa and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan, bring to a boil then cover and simmer for about 15 minutes or until water is mostly absorbed and quinoa has sprouted.
  • Place quinoa in a large saucepan to "toast" and toss repeatedly with 1/4 chopped walnuts, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon honey.
  • After 5 minutes add 1 cup chopped strawberries and 1/2 cup blueberries, toss for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add to Chobani and enjoy!
