Style Spotlight: Collar Necklaces

Admittedly, I am a bit late jumping on the collar bandwagon.  The other day, however, I happened to admire a jeweled collar necklace while shopping with a friend and the next day a grosgrain collar on a very stylish coworker.  I decided that I have seriously been neglecting my collars!  I think a little touch of sparkle on your collar is a great look for the holidays.  Don't you?  Below are some inspiring pictures of collar necklaces and links to buy similar items.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!  I'm so thankful for my many blessings this year and am keeping the victims of Sandy in my prayers this holiday season.  Here are some pictures from my Friendsgiving tables last weekend.  I loved the brightly colored confetti, garland, votives and the punchy pink and orange roses - not exactly the rustic I was planning on, but I think it worked!

Have a wonderful day with your loved ones!

So for some reason I couldn't add a Spotify play button to my blog this morning. Here is the link and a snapshot of the mix below.  Enjoy!

Friendsgiving Menu

French Chocolate Bark

This weekend I am finally having my "Friendsgiving Feast" and I couldn't be more excited.  I didn't want to do a turkey, but still wanted to give a nod to the upcoming holiday.  I chose a menu with some fall-inspired decadent dishes - brie en croute, stuffing, pumpkin cheesecake - but also one that won't leave everyone going home completely stuffed like a turkey - salad instead of creamed spinach, healthier sweet potatoes.  I like that I can make most of the meal ahead of time.  The brie needs to stand for some 45 minutes before my guests arrive, the potatoes and stuffing can be reheated and are actually better that way - who doesn't like their stuffing crisped up a bit, right?!  With the menu set all that is left in terms of planning is my table setting and I want to go all out.  I'm thinking burlap, gourds, pumpkins, candles, harvest-like flowers...  I can't wait!  I'll be sure to post pictures next week!

Style Spotlight: Winter White

Something about white in the winter is just so glamorous, feminine and cool all at once...  I love it paired with silver, black and grey.  Scroll through for some inspiring images and wishlist items.
